An Asymmetric Beamforming Method Based on Arithmetic Phase Difference Weighting in CSAMT

چکیده

Traditional controlled-source audio-frequency magnetotellurics (CSAMT) radiates symmetric beams using a grounded dipole (GSD). Only tiny fraction of radiant energy is taken advantage during the far-field (Ff) observation due to low directivity GSD. In order enhance signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) Ff observation, it necessary reduce transceiving distance (TD) or increase transmitting power (TP), but both methods will cause many problems. Further, when tensor method for GSDs in two vertical directions be employed radiate energy, and then series problems occur such as an asymmetry SNR if geological conditions under vary widely. An arithmetic phase difference (APd) weighting asymmetric beamforming (ABFM) CSAMT proposed this paper, which uses GSD array instead single GSD, signal with APd transmitted control wavefront beam steering. A significant enhancement (about 3 dB) by collecting region concern (RoC) ABFM. The analysis simulation results demonstrate that premise same TD TP, ABFM has obvious advantages improving utilization CSAMT. other words, APd-weighted can deal complex noise environment field better than traditional method.

Phased array ultrasonic imaging using an improved beamforming based total focusing method for non destructive test

One of the novel ultrasonic phased array based scanning methods for ultrasonic imaging in non-destructive test is total focusing method (TFM). This method employs maximum available information of the phased array elements and leads to an improved defect detection accuracy compared to conventional scanning methods. Despite its high detection accuracy, TFM behaves weak in distinguishing the real ...

Implementing the Context - Tree Weighting Method : Arithmetic Coding

The context-tree weighting algorithm 6] is an eecient universal source coding method for tree sources. Although a nite accuracy version of this algorithm has been analysed in 8], it is better to implement the algorithm as proposed in 7]. There it was suggested to store in each node s of the context tree, instead of an estimated probability P s e and a weighted probability P s w , the (logarithm...

Change detection from satellite images based on optimal asymmetric thresholding the difference image

As a process to detect changes in land cover by using multi-temporal satellite images, change detection is one of the practical subjects in field of remote sensing. Any progress on this issue increase the accuracy of results as well as facilitating and accelerating the analysis of multi-temporal data and reducing the cost of producing geospatial information. In this study, an unsupervised chang...

Phaseliftoff: an Accurate and Stable Phase Retrieval Method Based on Difference of Trace and Frobenius Norms∗

Phase retrieval aims to recover a signal x∈Cn from its amplitude measurements |〈x,ai〉|, i= 1,2, · ·· ,m, where ai’s are over-complete basis vectors, with m at least 3n−2 to ensure a unique solution up to a constant phase factor. The quadratic measurement becomes linear in terms of the rank-one matrix X=xx∗. Phase retrieval is then a rank-one minimization problem subject to linear constraint for...
